My wife and I watched "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on Wednesday evening. This movie is about 2 1/2 hours long, but it was done so well, it felt much shorter. A girl disappears 40 years previously and her Uncle, who has received framed flowers from her while she was "alive", still receives framed flowers from all over the world, which he thinks are coming from her killer.

He calls in an investigative reporter to see if he can provide any insight into the disappearance. After he seeks out a very clever hacker named Lisbeth, he starts to make some progress into what happened 40 years previously to cause the girl to disappear.

This movie has some very small disappointments, but overall, is very complete. It shows an extremely dark side of human behavior that surely exists, but I guarantee you, you do not want to think about it.

My favorite character in this film has got to be Lisbeth. This poor girl, who seems to be quite the sociopath, but it is revealed that there might be darn good reasons for it. She is the real hero in this film.

I give this movie 5 starts out of 5. Make sure you check it out. It is available from Netflix for instant viewing. It is a Swedish film with sub-titles, but don't let that deter you!
